Little Lupine Farm’s CSA Membership Details.

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. CSA is a membership that connects the community to local, sustainably-grown, and seasonal food purchased directly from your local farm. A CSA membership is an investment in your local farm. Customers pay in advance to receive a share of vegetables, herbs, flowers, or eggs. This upfront investment helps your local farmers purchase seeds, soil and equipment to deliver YOU fresh, in-season, locally-grown food, all season long.

At Little Lupine Farm, we select the best varieties of produce to grow for YOU!

  • Our CSA season is 15 weeks from mid-June into September.

  • CSA produce boxes are harvested fresh on the same day you pick them up at the farm or your designated drop site.

  • We offer on-farm pick-up in Rochester, Olympia’s Eastside neighborhood, and South Tumwater’s Field of Dreams neighborhood.

  • Pick-up will occur on a designated pick-up day that is TBD.

  • If you are out of town and unable to pick up your share, we offer one free rain-check produce box. Let us know at least one week ahead, and we will add an extra box at the end of the season. You may also choose to give your share to a friend or family member.

  • Opt-in to receive weekly text message reminders.

  • Farmers and customers agree to follow Little Lupine Farm’s CSA member share agreement (see below).

Little Lupine Farm CSA Member Share Agreement.

By signing up for a CSA share with Little Lupine Farm, I agree to the following terms:

  • I am buying a weekly portion of the Little Lupine Farm’s harvest in advance, and I am entering a relationship with Little Lupine Farm for the duration of its CSA season.

  • I understand that my investment before the beginning of the season directly supports the farm. I agree to pay for my share in full by the designated deadline unless I have agreed to a payment plan in advance.

  • I understand that in signing up for a share of the harvest I am agreeing to share both the potential bounty and the potential risk, which are an inherent part of farming, with the farmers and other CSA members. If mother nature brings unforeseen challenges that result in poor growing conditions, which limit crop yields, I understand that I may not be refunded for my share.

  • I understand it is my responsibility to pick up my share each week during one of the CSA distribution times (time and date TBD). If I am unable to pick up my share, I will ask a friend or neighbor to collect my share for me. If my share is not picked up or I do not arrange to use a raincheck box, I forfeit the share for that week.

  • By signing this Agreement, I (the CSA Member) hereby release, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless the Little Lupine Farm from any and all claims and/or liability from being on the farm’s property, from the purchase of a CSA membership, or from the use or consumption of food provided by the Farm.

  • In return we, the farmers, promise to do our best to provide a full share every week of the designated growing season, using thoughtful and comprehensive land stewardship and regenerative growing practices. The quantity of produce and specific limits to certain crops will inevitably vary from week to week and season to season. In times of bounty, we will also share that reward with our members.

Thank you so much for supporting Little Lupine Farm!
